[Clariion]SANVIEW CPL(Clone Private LUN) requirement and how to?

There is no maximum size for Clone Private LUNs.  One CPL should be allocated for each SP. Each CPL must be a minimum of 250000 blocks or 128 megabytes. Any space over this size is not used. Therefore, CPLs larger than 250000 blocks or 128 megabytes provide no performance benefit.

To allocate clone private LUNs using Navisphere Manager:

1. First Bind LUNs with 128MB

2. From the Enterprise Storage dialog box, click the Storage tab.
3. Right-click the storage system icon for which you want to allocate clone private LUNs and select SnapView.
4. Select Clone Feature Properties.  The Clone Feature Properties dialog box will open.

5. Select and eligible LUN from the Available LUNs list.
6. Click the right arrow button to move the selected LUN to the Clone Private LUNs list.
7. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 so that two LUNs (one from each SP) are in the Clone Private LUNs list.
8. Click OK then Yes to confirm the allocation of the selected clone private LUNs.
